Get up and get moving at storytime! These 20-30 minute programs are full of a diverse collection of books, songs and fun activities. They are designed to introduce your child to the culture of reading and help develop your child\'s language skills. Children are encouraged to engage with the stories and activities, and their grownups to participate in the program along with the children.

Baby Storytime (Birth to 24 months)

A storytime experience for our youngest library users and their caregivers. These 20-30 minute storytimes introduce a diverse collection of books, songs, rhymes and bounces developmentally appropriate for children from birth to when they start walking. This is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the joys and culture of reading in a positive and fun atmosphere. This story time is designed so the baby will be in their caregiver\'s lap and the grownup is actively involved in the program. Space is limited. Free tickets will be handed out 15 minutes prior to the program.

Join us for Qigong, a Chinese mind-body-spirit practice that can improve one\'s health by focusing on movement and breathing technique. This is a very gentle and relaxing class is designed to reduce stress and improve concentration while promoting a feeling of well-being. This class will be led by Alessia Barbieri de Pierini, a certified instructor of American Tai Chi. Please wear soft soled shoes and loose comfortable clothing. Registration is required.

Chinese Classes for Beginners

Learn Chinese! Weekly Mandarin Chinese classes offered on Thursdays for children ages 5 to 10 free of charge. Classes will cover basic vocabulary, sentence structure, and conversational practice. 欢迎来! Please note: The class is currently full. Sensory Friendly Storytime

Sensory friendly storytime is designed for children of all ages who prefer smaller groups due to sensory processing disorders. Storytime will be followed by social playtime with educational toys and an opportunity for parents to socialize. Participants are encouraged to bring their own noise reduction earmuffs and weighted items.
