 Join us for an in-depth look at the prison system in the United States and how it reveals the nation's history of racial inequality and injustice. "13th" is a critically acclaimed documentary directed by Ava DuVernay. Film begins at 5:30pm. Discussion begins at 7:15pm with special guests from Calvert County NAACP, Legislative Black Caucus of MD, Community Mediation Center of Calvert County, Point of Change Jail & Street Ministry, MD Commission on Civil Rights, Judge Gregory Wells and Sheriff Evans. If you commute and can't make it until the 7:15 discussion, you can preview it on Netflix or at the library on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 2:30pm. Mature content.
