Description:
 Introduction to the Prehistory of the Southwest--Classroom instruction offered by the Verde Valley Chapter of the AZ Archaeological Society. This course is presented in lecture via slide presentation format. The course consists of 22 lessons and 2 exams and will run for 11 Mondays consecutively. Topics will include archaeological research and preservation in the Southwest, ceramics, Paleoindian and Archaic periods and continue through the cultural diversity of Mesoamerica and the Southwest, the stages of the Puebloan era and European contact, and more. You must join the Verde Valley Chapter on or before the first class of September 30 to enroll. The course will cost $20 plus your membership fee in the Chapter.
