 "The History of Ha! From Ancient Tricksters to 'Modern Family". David Misch, author of “Funny: The Book / Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Comedy” (Applause/Hal Leonard; funnythebook.com), has been a comic folksinger, stand-up comedian, and screenwriter; his credits include the multiple-Emmy-nominated “Mork and Mindy”, the Emmy-losing “Duckman”, the Emmy-ignored “Police Squad!”, the Emmy-besotted “Saturday Night Live”, and the Emmy-ineligible “The Muppets Take Manhattan”. His prose has been collected in May Contain Nuts (Harper-perennial) and he blogs for The Huffington Post (huffingtonpost.com/david-misch). His play “Occupied” is scheduled to be produced this spring at the Skylight Theater in Los Angeles. He’s taught comedy at USC, musical satire at UCLA, and lectured at Colum-bia University, 92nd St. Y-Tribeca, Fordham University, the California Women’s Confer-ence, and the American Film Institute.
