Greener Pastures: Rural Library Sustainability Project

Event Type: CE - Continuing Education Workshop
Date: 2/22/2007
Start Time: 9:00 AM
End Time: 4:30 PM
Description:
The Greener Pastures Rural Library Sustainability Project is funded through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to WebJunction and Wisconsin’s Division for Libraries, Technology, and Community Learning. The primary goal of the project is to support the efforts of rural and small libraries (serving 25,000 or fewer patrons) in developing and implementing community-specific action plans for sustaining public access computing (PAC).

In answer to the special challenges faced by rural and small libraries, the Greener Pastures Rural Library Sustainability Project is intended to build ties and increase communication among library directors and to encourage development and implementation of community-specific action plans to address these challenges.
