Lose those back to school blues at the Back to School Bonanza, Saturday, August 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.! The Back to School Bonanza will feature free activities, food, prizes, Leo the Library Lion, and information for teachers, parents and children to help prepare for the upcoming school year.

Win free prizes! Register to win free photo sessions from M2 Photography. Backpacks filled with school supplies, donated by Aaron’s, will be raffled off every 15 minutes. Take home decorations, supplies, and other goodies perfect for filling wall space, organizing a classroom, or beginning a personal library. The first 50 attendees will also receive a cloth Quincy Public Library bag!

Discover new and creative crafts perfect for a snow day at home or for a quick classroom art project, and then make a few of your own! Take advantage of the library’s die cut machine and other classroom accoutrements to spruce up a drab bulletin board, desk, locker, or room.

Children who sign up or renew their Kids Only Library Cards will receive a Leo the Library Lion coloring book, a small plush Leo the Library Lion toy, and will even get to take a photo with Leo the Library Lion himself!

Teachers who sign up for Teacher Reference Services, Teacher Delivery Services, or Teacher Library Cards will receive a free magnifying bookmark and a Teacher Toolkit filled with information about specialized library services available only to teachers!
