Are you new to Medicare, a long time participant or a caregiver? It's important to know the facts about your healthcare coverage. This two-hour program is designed to provide an overview of the basics of Medicare. Topics discussed include: Medicare hospital and medical insurance (Parts A and B), Medigap insurance plans, Medicare Advantage plans (Part C) and Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D). After participating in this program, participants will have a good understanding of the basics of Medicare which will allow them to make informed Medicare related decisions for themselves or on behalf of someone else. Participants will be encouraged to learn more about Medicare after the program by using a variety of online and print resources identified in this program.
