Event Details

Another season of popular chamber music is underway. NPL partners with the The Chamber Music Society of Detroit and the Friends of Novi Library bring you free family concerts performed by acclaimed artists. These performances are informal, interactive, and a great opportunity to meet/speak with the performers. Today's featured presentation is the Great Waters Quartet. Proclaimed an “outstanding ensemble” by David M. Rice of Classical Source (2014), the Great Waters Quartet was founded in 2013 by four Detroit Symphony Orchestra colleagues— Rachel Klaus and Adrienne Rönmark violins, Shanda Lowery-Sachs, viola, and Peter McCaffrey, cello. Together, they have performed for audiences from northern Michigan to New York City while concurrently performing as full-time DSO musicians! Program: Mozart: String Quartet in C major, "Dissonance", K. 465 Brahms: String Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 51
