Sign Language Practice for Beginners

When: Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Germantown

Register online starting March 15. This five session program is for individuals who have some basic knowledge of sign language. Beginners are welcome. Emphasis will be on practice and expansion of vocabulary and conversation. This program will be held on April 7, 21, 28, May 5, 19. Funded by Montgomery County Association of Hearing Impaired Children in cooperation with Montgomery County Public Libraries.(slpro)

Accounting for Small Business

Register online. Understanding the fundamentals of accounting and recordkeeping is critical to anyone starting or expanding a small business. It enhances your ability to communicate with anyone who may have a financial interest in your business, such as lenders, suppliers, or investors.

This program is especially designed for those with non-accounting backgrounds This workshop covers recordkeeping and accounting matters.

As a volunteer counselor with US Service Corps of Retired Executives, Mr. Cornelius L. Mhley, who has significant experience in accounting for small businesses, counseled over a thousand entrepreneurs as they start and grow their businesses. SCORE DC is one of over 364 chapters of SCORE. Five SCORE counselors provide counseling at Rockville Memorial Library.

SCORE DC will offer two other programs in the Small Business series at the Germantown Library. They include: Essentials of Starting a Business (March 19) and Developing a Business Plan (April 16).
