Mindfulness for Writers

Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 11/10/2015
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 8:00 PM
Can meditation make you a better, more productive writer? Absolutely! Come together with other writers as we find ways to tune out the daily challenges and disruptions of life and make time, space and energy for our creative passions. We'll combine practical solutions for the "no time to write" blues with science and time-tested methods for quieting the mind and inviting the powerful flow of creativity.

Class consists of instruction, guided meditation, and writing exercises. 3 sessions, 1.5 hours each.
Instructor: Kelly Harms is the author of The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane, out now from Thomas Dunne/St. Martin's Press. She has also worked with New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors, Edgar, RITA, and Agatha award winners, and Indie Next List Picks in her time as an editor at a division of HarperCollins and later as an agent at the Jane Rotrosen Agency. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her adorable and sometimes imperious toddler Griffin. For more information, please visit
