Mr. Frank Weishaupt tells of his incredible experiences as he left Cincinnati and was secretly funneled into the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA. Mr Weishaupt personally met with General Patton in London, was given his orders, and sent to Paris just two days after D Day. There he posed as a Swiss immigrant and gathered intelligence on German troop movements. A fascinating, first-hand account of history.

The Hunger Games
Author
Suzanne Collins
Review
"Every year in the ruins of North America, 24 teens are forced to enter the Hunger Games. Only one winner survives. Every moment is televised." Reality TV - how far is too far? Governments have been using hunger and food as a power tool for centuries and that will probably never change. This is a thought provoking look at a future North America where the government uses food and the threat of killing our children in order to keep peace. A word of warning, this is not a book for the light-hearted as there is graphic teen on teen violence.   Reserve a copy!

The Ghost Mountain Boys
Author
James Campbell
Review
I just finished listening to this book and found it fascinating. If you like to read about how people overcome adversity this is the book for you. This book is about a division of National Guard soldiers who with little training in jungle warfare or equipment had to cross the Owen Stanley mountains and then attach the Japanese. The area they battle took place was the swamps and jungle of New Guinea. They had to do this in many cases with only rifles, automatic weapons and grenades.
This book also paints MacArthur in a not very favorable light. It contrasts this battle with the battle of Guadalcanal.
Mr. Campbell grasp your attention from the beginning and never lets go of it. He interweaves the battle narrative with background information on many of the participates, both American and Japanese.
I would recommend this book to Adults and Teens.  Reserve a copy!
