A Secret World: Exploring the Wonders of Math

Description:
 Can you make a computer out of dominoes? What is a fractal? Is there a piece of paper with only one side? What’s the best way to eat a slice of pizza? Turns out, all of these questions can be answered with the tools of mathematics. This class will be a journey into the fantastic world of mathematics through an exploration of a variety of informative, interesting, and fun mathematical topics outside of the standard school curriculum. Register once for all five sessions. Registration required. Grades 9-12.
