Photographers with a basic understanding of f-stop, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance can learn how to move beyond available light photography into manual control, off camera flash for creative results.Library: Miller
Requirements: A DSLR with a hot shoe that you understand how to set in full manual mode: manual shutter speed, manual f-stop, manual ISO, manual white balance; a fully charged camera battery; an empty memory card; and your camera's instruction manual.
Course topics: Why use off camera flash? Types of flash, flash triggering, hard light/soft light, light fall off, inverse square law, determining proper exposure, and flash modifiers: umbrellas, grids, soft boxes, and reflectors. Also includes one light portraits, creative color balance and flash photography, rear curtain sync, flash terminology, and resources.
