 Come discuss the One Maryland One Book (OMOB) selection King Peggy: An American Secretary, Her Royal Destiny, and the Inspiring Story of How She Changed an African Village by Peggielene Bartels and Eleanor Herman. King Peggy chronicles the journey of Maryland secretary who suddenly finds herself king to a town of 7,000 people on Ghana's central coast, half a world away. Now in its 6th year, OMOB is designed to bring together diverse people across the state through the shared experience of reading the same book. The 2013 theme is a pivotal and impactful moment in time. OMOB is a program of the Maryland Center for the Book and the Maryland Humanities Council.
